My apartment is tastefully furnished for the discerning visitor: Bespoke furniture; hi-speed fibre Internet connection and wifi; fully equipped for a stay of any length. It's on the 11th floor, same as the pool deck in a building that is new, modern and very secure. A parking bay is on the 5th floor. The entrances to the building and the corridors on each floor or monitored via CCTV. There is a concierge service where keys can be collected between 07:00 and 23:00; luggage can be stored; and brochures pertaining to sightseeing tours and other amenities can be obtained. The building is very central, surrounded by trendy restaurants and bars and for the young at heart, around the corner from Long Street and the major Clubbing District yet far enough away not to be disturbed by noise. Easy access to public transport: MyCiti bus route and the Hop-on-hop-off Cape Town sightseeing bus which will take you just about anywhere around the Peninsula. A large terrace with outdoor furniture overlooks the city.
I am a Clinical Psychologist in Private Practice and also teach Psychology Students. My foray into holiday letting is a step towards retirement in about 10 years time. I love people and travel and will engage with you as little or as much as you wish. I love Cape Town and having travelled to many beautiful cities around the world, I think that Cape Town is set in one of the most beautiful natural settings.
The neighbourhood is vibrant and active. Borders on the beautiful Bo-Kaap heritage area with its colourful vernacular. Every first Thursday of the month, the whole area is transformed into a street-party with art-galleries, restaurants and bars spilling patronage and music onto the streets. You could stay in this apartment for 10 days and eat and/or drink at different venues everyday.
