Vrugtegeur has been in the Rossouw family for six generations. Starting with diverse farming of grain, sheep, brandy, apples, pears and apricots 300 years ago, it was narrowed down to an apple and pear farm until a few years ago. Our dad Johannes - who was the last generation interested in farming and did so until he was 80 - left the farm in January 2023 at the age of 92 with the following words to us four children: “Please do not ever sell this farm, you do not have to farm here anymore but keep it – make it a holiday destination” And it is with this wish of our precious dad that the dream for Vrugtegeur Guest houses and holiday farms was born. We are extraordinary excited to give all our guests from all over the world visiting us a piece of Vrugtegeur to keep in their hearts forever. The Samuel Bosman manor is our first guesthouse – a farm house renovated into a spacious, modern guesthouse without taking its “farmhouse atmosphere” away – comfortably accommodate 8 people. Enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, indoor braaiarea. living area and entertainent for kids - a perfect holiday home for a big family or a few families! There are 4 rooms in the house - 2 rooms have ensuite bathrooms (showers) and 1 full bathroom ( dhower and bath) in the house.

Growing up in the beautiful Koo Valley on our Vrugtegeur, I always had the dream of coming back to my birthplace and doing something extraordinary here. Although I thought about farming, things turned out differently for me but know I have a chance to do something different - going into tourism. I am extremely passionate about our farm and people in general so I think it is the perfect opportunity for me to make a positive contribution to myself, my family, my community and in every person's life who will be visiting Vrugteguer Guest Farms.

The Koo Valley is a faming community mainly farming with apples, pears, plums and apricots.
