YHA is our go-to accommodation with my budget friendly mates. It’s conveniently located near the restaurants, Four Square and Gas Station. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Bonus is the amazing view of Mount Ngaruhoe from the kitchen!

Good location, cheap and comfortable for a few nights

Friendly staff, super comfortable bed, everything you need, clean and cheap. Will stay again when I can.

This was excellent for the cost. It is a 'backpacker' type accomodation but was clean, cosy, everythinng worked well, staff were very helpful. If you are on a budget you will be very pleased, if you just like to save you will be very happy here. If you want luxury look elsewhere. But clean comfortable quiet handy, this is great. We are mid 60's and could easily pay more but like to save and we liked it and would stay here again.

The lodge is great value for money, cheap and cheerful with great kitchen facilities , a nice communal lounge clean and tidy rooms.

Good location Clean good budget choice

Cheap budget accommodation with great friendly hosts and very accessible kitchen, lounge, etc. Met some lovely other people here. Shared facilities as advertised and good value for money.

Clean room with beds made. Towels provided. Friendly helpful staff and excellent security measures meant I felt safe. Very comfortable bed. Breakfast at the cafe was not cheap but worth every penny. Delicious and nicely laid out cafe.
