Everything about this stay was amazing. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. The room itself was lovely and clean and well equipped (snacks were delicious). It had a small fridge and coffee/tea making facilities. The surrounding neighbourhood was beautiful with lots of trees and quiet too. Everything exceeded our expectations and the stay was very reasonably priced. We will definitely come to stay if we are in Manchester again!

Exactly what we were looking for! A typical English pub with accommodation, located in a lovely area full of places to eat all kinds of food and enjoy great beer. I have nothing but praise for the Governors House. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional. A warm welcome from Mark on arrival and every interaction with staff throughout my stay was the same. A real gem. It was so nice to stay in a place that was such a high standard with a friendly feel. A bonus was the quality of the evening meal. Had fish and chips and can honestly say the fish was the best fish I have had in a long time. Another added bonus was the cosy bar area and positive vibe. Also lovely and warm on what was a very cold evening. Will definitely stay again.
