For sure simpler than a big name hotel but super friendly, clean and comfortable. For me it was the perfect place to stay in a beautiful area. Super happy.

Locanda Gandriese se encuentra en Gandria, a 25 km de Estación de Mendrisio y a 27 km de Villa Carlotta. Best place I ever stayed at for real! The view from the window is just like a movie scene with he clear blue lake right at the window. Peaceful and quiet and very welcoming. The bed was comfortable We had dinner at the restaurant, the terrasse offers a great view. The food was delicious (We tried the Lasagna and the Polenta), and the portions were very generous! Most romantic stay you could expect!!! There is even a little dock to go for a swim in the lake!
