Hosteria Llanovientos

The inn offers a tour of the waterfalls and hot springs located 5 km away. Baños’ town centre is a 3-minute walk away, while Cotopaxi International Airport is a 1-hour drive away.
The location was excellent. The hosteria is on a hillside, offering a beautiful mountain view across the town and the valley. At the same time the location is also central, only 10 minutes by foot from the main square and 12 minutes from the bus station (Terminal Terrestre).
Our room was clean and comfortable, with two queen beds with four(!) soft pillows. The bathroom had hot water for showering. Normally the room is cleaned every day (they ask if you wish that they do).
The breakfast was very good. It consisted of eggs, bread rolls, butter and marmalade with juice and coffee - which is what you normally get for breakfast in Ecuador. But the juice was different every day, the croissants were served warm (not every day, though) and the eggs were prepared in a different way. This is actually a big deal if you've been traveling for a long time.
We had established a contact with the hosteria in WhatsApp before arrival and received all possible information regarding our stay in advance. Someone was around and available 24/7, opening the gate and supporting the clients with information about activities etc. We had our laundry done for a very small amount of money that was less than in public laundries. We did not speak Spanish, so were happy to find that the staff spoke varying levels of English.
You get a great value for the money you pay.

We had a lovely stay with Bettina and Darwin. They made us feel really at home and told us a lot about life in Ecuador and the beautiful surroundings of Banos. Breakfast with the freshly made "Hefezopf" and dinner with local treats were great, too, and we really enjoyed the view over the valley.

The guest house is beautiful. You have a lovely view over the river. It's a bit out of Baños (about 20-25min walk) but because of that, you have a super quiet place. Johan is amazing and very helpful with everything, arranging trips if you want. And don't get me started about the breakfast: amazing! Beds are good, warm shower, towels, soap, everything is there.

Amazing hotel. The view, nature, volcano… i have no words to describe. We ordered room with big panoramic window. You can lay in the room in front of the window and dream! Staff are so acomodating and friendly! Facilities are comfortable. Bed, pillows were so fantastic. Breakfast has no wide choice but it the same in all Equador. But food very delicious. Espessialy for dinner!

Lovely family run place. The boy speaks fluent english and can give you great tips how to maximize your time in Baños. Yes, the place is a bit rustic but we put a great value for a fact that they had hot water in the shower. Also the laundry service was a plus. Seem to have a nice looking kitchen even though we didn’t use it.

Karl, the owner, was amazing with helping us plan our activities. His staff were also wonderful - they even opened the kitchen to make us dinner when we arrived late on the first night of our stay. The room was lovely and had large windows that looked out to the waterfall. There was even filtered water in the kitchen area available for guests to use.

Really enjoyed our stay. Very comfortable room with amazing views of the town and waterfall. Very quiet and relaxing location. 10 mins walk from the thermal baths. 20 mins to the centre of town and tourist areas. Taxi from the bus terminal was $1.50. Lovely staff who cook a delicious breakfast of fruit, eggs, bread and coffee / fresh juice. Rooms are freshened up and beds made daily. Can use the kitchen to cook dinner.
