We stayed at Mahana House for two nights and absolutely loved it. The cottage was beautiful and incredibly comfortable — the bed even had adjustable firmness settings! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and there was a laundry room where we could wash and dry our clothes for free. The cat was adorable, and for the first time, my husband changed his opinion about cats — he actually liked this one! Randy takes great care of the orchard, and the longans were delicious. We truly appreciated the peaceful surroundings — it was perfect for mindfulness and relaxation. We shared photos on Instagram, and so many of our friends are now planning to visit too! It’s about a 15-minute drive from Hilo town, so having a car is necessary — but totally worth it. This place is truly a dream stay. Highly recommended!

The location is not in a busy area. Just the guest in the staying in the hotel/condo. Highly recommend if you hate crowded accommodations.

Hale Maluhia Country Inn se encuentra en Kailua-Kona, a 10 km de Parque histórico nacional de Kaloko-Honokohau y a 18 km de Bahía de Kealakekua. Quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Kailua Kona. It was like staying in a treehouse. Location not a problem with a rental car, and there is ample parking.

The Inn at Kulaniapia Falls se encuentra en 22 hectáreas de exuberante vegetación natural, la cascada privada más grande de Hawái. We chose this place for our family trip to the Big Island after a lot of online research — and it didn’t disappoint. As someone who also runs two hotels in Los Angeles, I’d like to share a few thoughts from a fellow hospitality professional: Fantastic location! Right in the heart of Hilo’s main commercial street. The farmers market is next door, with fresh fruits and veggies, and on weekends, a fun local market with Hawaii-themed goods. Smooth contactless check-in. I booked through Booking.com, and the host messaged me before arrival with the front gate code, room number, room code, and all the check-in details — very efficient. However, guests unfamiliar with this process might feel confused upon arrival if they don’t realize the info is in their inbox or messages. Charming old two-story building. The exterior is nice, with a gravel parking lot behind the property. But what really stood out was the interior design — full of warmth, color, and personality. The wall decor, vintage photos, and little touches give the whole place a cozy, homey vibe. There’s a tiny on-site restaurant with just two tables on the ground floor, serving special breakfast items. Reviews say it’s amazing and must be booked in advance. I stayed for two nights and only saw it open once — clearly a local favorite! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try it due to our tight travel schedule. Room 5 was enormous! We booked a queen room, but the beds were so spacious they felt like kings. The linens were top-quality — clean, soft, and super comfortable. Thoughtful details like bedside outlets with USB ports made things very convenient. Large bathroom with separate shower area, soft fluffy towels, and excellent-quality toiletries — clearly chosen with care. These kinds of details speak volumes about the host’s hospitality. The room included local Hawaiian coffee — a great touch! One small suggestion: consider providing reusable cutlery for guests who may be staying longer or prefer dining

The Pacifica Inn está en Volcano, a 19 km de Kilauea y a 37 km de Zoo Pana'ewa Rainforest. Ofrece alojamiento con jardín y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento, además de parking privado gratis. We had an amazing stay at this charming little hotel, which is lovingly decorated and full of character. The location is perfect – very close to the volcano, and we were incredibly lucky to witness an eruption during our visit, which was truly unforgettable. The hosts were exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We wholeheartedly recommend this special place to anyone visiting Big Island. It was a highlight of our trip!

Kohala Village INN, que está a 3,8 km de Estatua del rey Kamehameha y a 8,1 km de Kohala Historical Sites State Monument, ofrece habitaciones con aire acondicionado y baño privado en Hawi. I enjoy staying in places that are a bit different and have some historic character (I don't like big brand hotels or resorts), and Kohala Village Inn does that for me. A plantation style inn from the 1950s, rooms wrapped around an enclosed courtyard, and I liked that is was off the road, a bit hidden. Room comfortable and clean. Easy check-in process.
