Very nice host who came over to check all was good as we arrived in the middle of a storm. And he also brought chocolate cookies as a welcome gift! I would definitely recommend this place. You can really see that this cottage is cured with love by the owner.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. I Laugarfell every year in September with friends and we love this place. The staff is always so friendly. Looking forward to next year visit.

These holiday homes all offer a private terrace with barbecue facilities, in addition to a well-equipped kitchenette with free coffee and tea. Egilsstadir town centre is a 8-minute drive away. The property was easy to find, and is very well located for day trips around Egilsstaðir. The house was clean, cozy and nicely decorated. There was a washing machine as well, which was very handy. The beds were comfortable. The area was very quiet, a bit outside of Egilsstaðir, but very quick to drive there. From the open area where the cottages are, there is a short path to a jacuzzi (which was spotless) and there is also a sauna. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. スタッフがフレンドリーで最高でした。 今晩オーロラが見えるかどうか尋ねると、時間帯などアドバイスをしてくれました。 そしていざオーロラがうっすら見え始めると、部屋に知らせに来てくれて、オーロラを見ることができました。 また、このエリアはオーロラが美しく見えるエリアだと思います。 その後のアイスランドで何度かオーロラを見ましたが、ここは無駄な光がないせいか、緑色と赤色のはためくオーロラが空一面を多い、最高の思い出になりました。 部屋も清潔感がありました。 おすすめしたい宿です。

The place is beautiful and very comfortable, exactly as the photos show. The breakfast was delicious and the staff super friendly, helpful and nice. We absolutely love it!!
