It’s so new and everything is perfect. We had the hotel send us the codes to the door and we checked in at our own time. It’s really new and it’s really clean and modern. Like legit clean. Will definitely come back here and stay the entire trip if I’m not jumping between locations. 12/10. Booked on booking.com and it was really a value for money. Rooms There’s a balcony which you can walk to your car in under 5 steps. (First floor rooms only). Room is modern. There’s Netflix and a smart tv and a fridge too!!! It looks like a high class hotel. NGL. Nearby activities Theres a bonus near by 5km distance. The drive there is so easy. We’re near a ski resort too. Safety It feels very secure. Walkability Nobody walks in Iceland. Please drive. Food and drinks Buy from Bónus and store it in your fridge. There’s also a common fridge that looks very nice (like glass door nice). Theres also a microwave. Noteworthy details There’s a hot tub!!! And the place feels so nice. Don’t stay in the city just stay here and enjoy yourself!!! Edit: We got the see the strongest northern lights from the balcony (though out the trip).

Habitación muy amplia lindas vistas, personal muy amable, desayuno espectacular. Ubicación excelente. Todo espectacular

Melar Guesthouse está en Kópasker, a 36 km de Parque nacional Jökulsárgljúfur, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis y terraza. Being the ONLY guest at the house, I had the whole main living area (2nd floor) to myself, as well as my room upstairs, of course. This just made living there very easy and convenient. =) As so many others have stated, the decor of the house is exquisite. On departure day I spent well over av hour just photographing the place. 😅

We liked everything although the cottage was a bit hard to find when we were arriving at night. Beautiful views from everywhere, one of our favourite stays. Clean and perfect for a small group.

Very clean, hot water, comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen. The cabin is of decent size for a couple. There are lots of power outlets for charging.

La casa es perfecta, tal cual sale en las fotos, no le faltaba un detalle, tenía todo lo que pudieras necesitar. Una casa elegante, práctica, confortable y acogedora. El propietario siempre disponible en la aplicación por si necesitabas algo. Un remanso de paz después de un día explorando el norte de Islandia y antes de continuar nuestro viaje.
