Every need was addressed, they even left us a fresh apple juice in the fridge and a welcome note. Rooms were huge and the beds were really comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing with the toys 🧸 and to jump on the small trampoline outside.

Overall Scenery: We greatly enjoyed the view of the villas. Mount Asama was majestic, and the sunrises and sunsets were stunningly beautiful. At night, the lighting was fantastic, especially the area lit up to resemble dandelions near the Sky Spa. Cuisine: The staff were very professional, so the meals were ready while we were chatting. The complimentary drinks were all delicious, and the quality of the meat and vegetables was top-notch. The ravioli and sausages for breakfast were also exquisite. Lounge: We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the interior and the art displayed. The books and photographs provided great conversation starters, and the alcohol flowed, making for a delightful time. Sky Spa: The atmosphere of the open-air jacuzzi was excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the view.

The room was comfy, and the outside hot spring was well presented. The food was very nice and they accommodated our specific dietary requirements. Dogs were very friendly and I enjoyed brushing them. Overall, very nice accommodation!!

We had a room with a private wooden bath, so we could bathe whenever we desired to! Not only was the room extremely comfortable and quiet, but the service was great too. The person, making sure our stay was as comfortable as possible was very kind to us as well, despite the language barrier. This was our last stop on our Japan Trip and it made the whole trip so much better, being able to hop in a private Onsen whenever! There was also an Additional Onsen you could rent out for an hour for 3000 Yen. It includes two different baths, one indoor and one outdoor and was definitely worth the price. The Food was incredible as well. We arrived by car, our luggage was carried up for us and our car was parked properly, so we really had nothing to worry about other than to find the place and relax our night away! It's a little off the beaten path. I'm not sure if you can reach the hotel easily by Train but it's quite simple with a car if you're confident in driving in Japan. There's a lot of beautiful scenery around too, such as a huge dam at the top of nearby valley, with an adorable little restaurant. I highly recommend the room we had for couples if you would like a romantic evening together!

We loved the food. 10 course meal dinner. Breakfast was amazing too. True Japanese style cusine. Farm to table. Really fresh ingrediemts. Room was really clean and spacious. Onsen was clean too. Staffs were super friendly. We absolutely loved everything about this place.

ANA Holiday Inn Resort Karuizawa by IHG ligt in Kita-karuisawa, op 34 km van Honmachi Machiyakan, en biedt accommodatie met een fitnesscentrum, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. This was the nicest hotel room we stayed in across Japan (we stayed at 6 hotels and various other apartments, homes, and condos). Everything was updated and the layout was exceptional. The staff was kind enough to facilitate getting us a tee time at the onsite golf course. It was an amazingly beautiful course.

Pension ぽかぽか（poka poka） bevindt zich in Tone, op 31 km van Kegon-watervallen, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. The two people who ran the hotel were extremely nice and friendly, and their cats were also lovely to see. The area is very secluded and peaceful, very idyllic. The shuttle service between Yumoto-Onsen and the hotel was an absolute lifesaver.

The traditional Japanese style rooms were great. The onsen and food were delightful and the staff was extremely kind to us.

Oyado Matsubaya is goed gelegen in de wijk Minakami Onsen-kyo in Minakami, en ligt op 34 km van Skiresort Gala Yuzawa, 36 km van Naeba skioord en 30 km van Kawaba. De eigenaar is een geweldige entertainer, een geweldige kok en een fijn persoon. Eerder inchecken was geen probleem. Het ontbijt en diner waren voortreffelijk en het hotel/de oyado is erg charmant, het is wat ouderwets maar dat vind ik juist bijdrage aan de charme. De gedeelde badruimte (de sento) was schoon en lekker warm, vooral na een dag hiken.
