Nazuna Kyoto Higashi Honganji is goed gelegen in het centrum van Kyoto, op 6 minuten lopen van TKP Garden City Kyoto en minder dan 1 km van station Kyoto. The room was very cosy and comfortable. Perfect for unwinding after busy days of sightseeing and crowds. The bath does wonders for tired legs from walking. The room is stocked with an assortment of free drinks and traditional snacks are provided in the lobby. The location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station and close to other public transport. We walked to most of the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke very good English so it was easy to communicate. Our breakfast was cooked with care each morning, making it a great start of each day. We would definitely come back!

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan is gelegen in Kameoka, op 13 km van Oyamazumi Shrine, en biedt accommodatie met een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een terras. The staff were wonderful - we had to reorganize our check-in time several times, and they were really nice and helpful. They even helped us send our luggage straight to Tokyo and were very attentive about a gluten allergy one of us has. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. We had an outstanding dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast with all the small, beautifully presented dishes.

The location was great. It is near 3 train stations Shijo-Omiya, Nijo station and Nijojo-mae station (all under 1KM walk). Shinsenen-mae bus stop is only 100m away. There are many nice eateries around with many large supermarkets, LIFE at Nijo station, Seiyu Sanjo (300m) away as well as Fresco (300m) away. The apartment is also sparkly clean and new unlike some of the comments from the past. The staff at the counter were great and super responsive. There is a folder on the instructions to operate the appliances in the apartment. The coffee capsules given were superb, better than some of those stall bought coffee. We checked in in the evening and was able to enter the apartment without any help. The management sent a detailed video on how to operate the digital key lock prior to check in. The pricing of this apartment was pricey but worth every penny. Will certainly recommend to our friends and family!

海蔵寺 宿坊 櫻海 ligt in Ine, op 16 km van Manai Shrine, en biedt gratis fietsen, rookvrije kamers, gratis WiFi en een tuin. Absolutely amazing ryokan in the most beautiful village. Our best and most amazing stay in Japan. The dinner and breakfast were superb. The confort was out of this world and the host was so nice and attentive. Absolutely recommend!
