This place is absolutely AMAZING.The attention to detail in everything from room presentation to meals to staff and owners is impeccable. I cannot speak highly enough of everything and everyone. Please don’t be put off by the 17m2 room advertising as the size is double that with butiful outdoor setting and an added private jacuzzi. We fell in love with this place and didn’t want to leave.!!!

The room was beautiful, clean and spacious, and the place in general is very quiet, surrounded by the jungle with amazing views. I really enjoyed my time here and highly recommend for a relaxing and authentic stay.

I stayed there 1 night, room is nice and clean, family is super nice and helpful,. Location is not in center but owner takes you from station with a tuktuk for free and can arrange trips with tuktuk . They have a nice garden and share their yummy products they grow with you :)

Guests can take in the views of the lake from the balcony, which also has outdoor furniture. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. This place is a dream, it felt so calm and serene, incredible view and totally private, with great WiFi and a lovely host who could bring food and drink when needed. It’s a little further out and involved a scooter or grab to get there but it’s worth it for the setting.

À la carte and continental breakfast options with warm dishes, local specialities and pancakes are available. Guests may relax in the on-site lounge, while packed lunches are also available upon request. We had the most perfect two nights at Hapu Tales. Muni goes above and beyond as a host, and her team put so much effort into making it a relaxing and comfortable place to stay; every detail has been thought of and the team were so helpful and friendly, we really felt like we were staying with friends. We had all of our meals in and the food was brilliant, authentic Sri Lankan cuisine with lots of flavour. The location is brilliant for exploring the beautiful surrounding sites but definitely make sure you stay long enough to take the time to relax by the pool or on the terrace with the breathtaking views. We stayed two nights and were sad to leave - it’s the perfect place to recharge and relax.

Relaxing and peaceful sitting on the balcony looking out over the valley. It is located outside of Ella township but getting there is easy and all part of the adventure!

Such a nice hotel, with beautiful garden and pool area. It may be a bit far from Ella centre but nothing a taxi of 20 minutes can't fix. Service was outstanding with special thanks to Sahiru, who has been nothing but helpful and lovely. We hope to come back in the future.
