We loved absolutely everything about this gem of a property: the location in a stunning natural environment, the adorable staff, the unique history and decor of the hotel full of collectible and heirloom furniture and, of course the wonderful dinner. Food certainly was a highlight as this is generally where Norway fails to impress us. We were served a fresh, creative, and delicious dinner in the beautiful dining room overlooking the fjell. The chef even adjusted the menu for the vegetarians among us, creating genuine new dishes for us. Wow! Again, that was unexpected as eating veg in Norway is often a challenge. Everything felt authentic and personal in this independently-run property. Dinner starts with a presentation of the history of the place by the owner, their struggles during Covid and how they overcame them. Charmingly, this introduction included the reading of a poem (sadly we don’t understand Norwegian so had to rely on the translation of the presentation afterwards). Every effort is made to be sustainable : There’s a vegetable garden, the delicious bread is baked on the premisses (we took a box of the amazing Flatbrød with us) and the lovely shop sells some local cheese, honey and other specialties including, this being Norway, sweets :) We are already dreaming of a next stay to the Tuddal Høyfjellshotel to experience more of its magic and of the stunning nature around it as our stay this time was way too short. Note to the owners: stay as you are, you are a genuine gem and the world needs more places like yours. Thank you for everything!

Haukeli Husky Fjellgård se encuentra en Haukeli, en la región de Telemark, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. El agroturismo ofrece terraza. Nature all around, view is just amazing, easy to find and bit isolated from rest of the world. Room was nice, warm, we even get to use sauna and it was amazing. Just loved it

Wow - what a wonderful place for a relaxing stay. The hosts were charming and helpful. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations - spacious and comfortable with quality furnishings and even a separate kitchen and terrace we would love to have used if warmer. The river was only 200m away for relaxing walks, and a 24hr self-serve supermarket completed the rural escape convenience! Truly one of the best stays we have had - we could not rate it highly enough!

If you are looking for nature and relaxing, Leiligheten is a perfect place to stay. It located on top if the hill just in front of the lake. A fireplace for barbique, outside dining table, kitchen, etc make an enjoyable stay.

Hytte Gaustablikk, que cuenta con vistas a la montaña, dispone de alojamiento con terraza y balcón a unos 5 km de Monte Gaustatoppen. Very nice house with a picture postcard view of the lake in front. We choose this to be close to the Gusta mountain.
