Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. We had such a good dinner and breakfast was generous. Their hot tub was special - beautiful surroundings. We especially enjoyed the view across the fields out the huge dining room windows.

Really enjoyed the hotel! Lovely view of the lake and we got a bigger room than what we booked which was fantastic. Great lounge area and a nice restaurant with reasonable prices.

Coincidence or was it meant to be? Incredible experience outside the city. The location is ideal for trips to the peninsula, the golden circle or the south coast. The conditions are very comfortable, the room has everything you need. As for the staff, in general, a special thank you for the warm welcome and wonderful atmosphere. I have never seen a more cozy place in my life. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to experience nature, hospitality and excellent service. Thank you to the hosts for a wonderful page in life, and the chef also deserves thanks, all the food is very tasty and you want to talk endlessly.

it's in a remote location but really easy to access to and the great thing is that check in is at 4pm but I arrived earlier (like few hour earlier) and the room was ready!. The staff was friendly and the dinner was good although they have a short menu. Best thing, I was already sleeping and I got the call so I was able to see the northern light!

Thingvellir National Park

Not only is Thingvellir National Park as beautiful as a storybook, it’s also the meeting place of the oldest parliament in the world. A group of free men called The Althing met here from 930 until 1798, and thus the land holds a special place in both Icelandic and world history. It’s also an adventurer’s paradise, with a range of hiking routes, dramatic waterfalls and rugged geological formations.
