We were also happy we chose to stay in Asakusa, rather than other areas of Tokyo. It was around 2km to walk to Asakusa station, however we enjoyed the exercise everyday. It had all the facilities we needed, including microwave and kitchen utensils. The bathroom was more than adequate, the toilet was fantastic (although this seems to be standard in Japan!). The extra items for kids were wonderful. The combini in level 1 was very handy. There are 2 family marts and a 7/11 within 50 or so meters of the entrance. Location is excellent.
