A very stylish hotel with attention to detail. Though our room was quite small, it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Excellent rainshower. Special thanks for no annoying techical lights (TV, AC, sensors) that shine brightly at night like in most other hotels. We liked the a la carte breakfast selection: quick, yummy and nutritious. A huge thank you to the friendly staff who helped us arrange a taxi on short notice. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

This hotel opened only two years ago so everything is imaculate. The veiw of the eastern mountains of Kyoto is excelent. Regardless of the fine fittings the quality of a hotel is dependent upon the staff that great the visitors. Management have obliously taken it into account when, along with the traditional excelent service provided by Japanese, they have also employed non-Japanese staff to ensure complete problem free comunication in English.

The room is large and very comfortable, the bathroom is also large and like most hotels in Japan they provide amenities. the location is excellent, close to several traditional restaurants and two blocks from the metro, there is a seven eleven in front and it is very close to the center where they sell traditional items. The hotel staff are very polite and the rooms are very clean. The hotel is excellent for those who want to stay away from the noise and want a more reserved stay.

Best hotel in Kyoto for sure. Best location possible. the hotel itself is beautiful and super clean and special. We were upgraded to an amazing suite because of our honeymoon. The staff are incredible and very helpful. Thank you for everything.

    Come here for the crowds.

    Come here for the crowds. Prepare to hear any other language than Japanese. It is a nice area but only inversely morning or later in the night when the crowds thin out. If your there between 10am-3pm be prepared to swim against the crowd where the shops in either side start to repeat themselves every 100 meters. Come in the evenings and this is when you will get your old city exp
