Shirahama is better known for hot springs than sandy strands, but this beach manages to marry the two nicely. For most visitors, the crescent of white sand alone would be paradise, yet the presence of Sakinoyu takes things up a notch – the ancient open-air hot spring flows directly into the picturesque Namariyama Bay.
