The Bulguksa Temple, or Temple of the Buddha Land, was built to represent paradise. Nestled on the the wooded slopes of Mt. Tohamsan, the symmetrical stone and wood building is entered via the Bridge of White Clouds, a staircase symbolic of the temple’s divinity. Inside, you’ll find floating temples and the monk’s living quarters, and then pass through the Halls of Supreme Bliss and Great Enlightenment.
