Just three kilometres from the centre of Žabljak, Black Lake is largest and best known of Mount Durmitor’s 18 glacial lakes. The pleasant four-kilometre path that circles it offers stunning views of Međed Peak and the surrounding forest. More adventurous travellers can extend their hike and venture deeper into the Montenegrin wilderness down one of the many additional trails.
