Since 1811, pilgrims have been climbing this beautiful Baroque stairway seeking penance and retribution. Its near 600 zigzagging steps host a series of platforms, fountains and sculptures to admire and muse upon along the way. Once at the top, you are met by panoramic views of Braga, splendiferous floral gardens and the colossal chapel itself.
