I saw Google photos prior to arriving and was a bit worried and made the wrong choice - it looked very worn out. In reality, the photos on Booking were more accurate than Google. The room was spacious, in good condition and smelt heavenly. Thermostatic heaters kept us warm at night. The restaurant was simple but good.

Set within the Fagaras mountain range of the Carpathians, Piscul Negru Hotel is situated on the famous Transfagarasan Road.

Located on the shores of Lake Vidraru in Arefu, Hotel Valea cu Pesti enjoys panoramic views of the lake and the Fagaras Mountains. An indoor swimming pool is also available.

No doubt most amazing place in whole Transfagarasan road. On the edge of Vidraru lake triangle. All hotel is very nice and clean, has free spa for people who stay there. Very delicious food in restaurant. Big separate bar at the entrance lobby with tv. Big terrace with amazing view to the lake. Also there is kayak and boats renting place 100 metres down to the lake (just not worked that day for some reason, thats sad).

Boasting mountain views, Cabanele lu’ Dinu provides accommodation with balcony, around 11 km from Vidraru Dam. The accommodation has a sauna.

A great option for a quiet holiday, away from the traffics, away from the noisy city. The terrace overlooking the forest, hills and distant perspective without a single indication of human presence) I have not seen such a starry sky for a long time! The cottage is very comfortable, with all amenities, very clean and modern - at the level of all modern expectations. Parking at the door -) Highly recommended!

Perfect located right on the Transfagarasan. There are secured parking for motorcycles behind gate. It seems popular with motorcycle travelers doing the Transfagarasan. My room had a small balcony perfect for a afternoon beer after all the riding. Cold beers can purchased cheap across the street in a shop. There is a cafe 50 m away, which do simply hot meals.

Offering a garden and mountain view, Pensiunea Colt de Munte is located in Corbeni, 11 km from Vidraru Dam and 41 km from Cozia AquaPark.

The place was excellent. Very very cosy comfortable room. Super clean, beautiful bathroom. Balcony available. The kitchen was super,very very well equipped. Nice garden with table, banches. Super quiet. The host was very kind, perfect communication. I recommend this place to everyone visiting Transfogaras. It is 10 km away from Lake Vidraru.
