Everything! The staff, the room (although a little jaded) and the biggest hit was the location - not only because of the river view which is fab but also being so close to lots of fun restaurants and bars (backpacker area). I would definitely return. Highly recomend.

Wat Pho

Home to the famous giant reclining Buddha, Wat Pho is one of the largest and most beautiful temples in Bangkok. You can spend a relaxing few hours wandering the grounds, sitting in the shade and snapping photographs. It’s also highly recommended to enjoy a medical massage at the school – it might hurt a bit, but afterwards you’ll be walking on air.

Take a water taxi from Saphan Taksin station up to Wat Pho.

Take a water taxi from Saphan Taksin station up to Wat Pho. It is well worth the visit. Go earlier it can get very crowded. Beware if you get a massage at the school there, it can be a very long wait, and it will be double the cost. Instead do the trip then go to Phrom Phong BTS station and go to Phunee massage, 350Bht for an hour long foot massage. Wonderful. Ive been going there for 10 years.

Wat Pho captivates with its distinctive Buddha idol, a striking departure from the typical figures found in most Buddhist temples. While the entry fee leans slightly towards the higher end, it remains reasonable and well worth the experience. The temple and its surroundings exude a quaint, tranquil charm, offering a serene and impeccably maintained retreat. Its prime location further enhances its appeal, with a host of nearby attractions just waiting to be explored.

Get an English speaking guide for sure so you can learn about the monuments and the buddhas. Without the guide, we would have learned nothing since there are no English translations in the descriptions.

Get there early - depending where you are staying - catch river boat from central pier to wat Po. Visit the massage school and have an oil massage - great experience and I’ve had limited pain with an old injury since - well worth the visit.

Awe inspiring.

Awe inspiring. If you only visit one temple in Bangkok, make it this one. The boat doesn't seem to stop there at the moment, so you need to go by road. Try visiting later in the day - the light is beautiful then.

Great location for Khao San Rd & many of the sights like the Grand Palace, Emerald Buddha, Wat Pho, boat rides. Great shower. Good for a night Food very good during day. Breakfast could be better organised, have drinks at the end not at the back in the middle.

The location is amazing, a few minutes from the Wat Pho, the Imperial Palace, and the pier to reach Wat Arun. It was a very peaceful place though there is a lot of activities nearby The staff was amazing, kind, friendly, and very welcoming. They made me feel like a VIP. The room was clean and spacious. All the amenities were available.

This is a small butique hotel located in the old city of bangkok. The location is excellent with walking distance to the grate palace Wat pho and the river as well as Khao san road. Across the road there is another temple with lovely sights from the hotel. We had one of the quadruple rooms. It was very lovely with a vintage decoration, very large and very clean. Breakfast was excellent, and there is a small pool and though we didnt use it it seems tha people realy enjoyed it. Staff was excellent as well.

When you visit Bangkok, make sure you visiting Grand Palace, Wat Pho & Wat Arun. They're the best! And don't forget to rent a car and visit Ayutthaya, the ancient temples and temples ruins are best spot for photography.
