Architecturally, Fatih Mosque is a valuable link in the evolution of Turkish imperial mosques and bears no traces of Byzantine art. Its courtyard features a remarkable fountain and a sundial, attributed to the astronomer Ali Kuşçu, which captivate visitors. The mosque's tombs are also significant, housing the resting place of Sultan Mehmed II.
