Empire State Building

Stretching into the sky at 120 storeys high, the Empire State Building was once the tallest building in the entire world. Not for the faint of heart, its observation deck provides a bird’s-eye view of NYC. Dodge the crowds by visiting between 8 and 11AM, and snap photos uninterrupted with the Big Apple as your backdrop.

Expensive but worth it. Staff at the top were helpful and knowledgeable about the skyline. Good exhibition about the history of the building. We went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in August without booking and there was no queue!

Keep in mind that it gets very busy and it's heated during winter, so it can get very hot and crowded inside. I would recommend layering clothes so you can stay an okay temperature during the whole visit. I wouldn't wait for the elevators as it can get very long, you can always grab the stairs up to the viewing points and it's only 6 flights.

The hotel's location is perfect – close to the subway, close to the Empire State Building and MSG. The staff was very friendly and always willing to help. Coffee and tea available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, were a nice bonus. Breakfast was fine.

My corner room had exceptional views of the Empire State Building! Quick access to 5th Avenue and Broadway. My room had all the amenities I needed, just how I love them! - fancy coffee machine, coffee pods, fresh milk, etc! 5 star vibes all the way! I also enjoyed dinner at the 5 star restaurant on the ground level! Staff were super helpful, friendly, and professional! Will definitely use this hotel for my next visit to New York🎊👌🏼🔥

The hotel had very friendly staff, the room was very clean and the bed comfortable. The room size was also a huge plus factor, it had a kitchen as well! The location is another huge plus as it’s located 5 mins walking distance from 5th avenue, shopping malls, Central Park, Empire State Building to name a few.

Beautiful modern hotel with a fantastic location to NYC sights and tourist spots. We had just arrived from an overnight flight and were exhausted the staff went out of their way to sort storing our bags as well as getting us checked in early so we could sleep. The amenities provided were great, things like water and a Nespresso machine. The room was very modern and clean with an incredible view of the empire state building.

Excellent location, you can walk to Times Square in a few minutes. Cafes, bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Subway very close. We walked from the hotel to Empire State Building, Summit One Vanderbilt, Bryant Park, Rockerfeller Centre, 5th Avenue and Central Park. Rooftop bar was great. On the Reception Princess was lovely and also very good at her job. Free take out coffees every morning was super. Lovely room and bathroom. Nice and quiet.

Very well kept and they cleaned the room and changed the bed etc as soon as we left for breakfast. Perfect for New York as location is everything really. We had a great view of the Empire State Building from our window.

The staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. The location is excellent for exploring New York — there’s a bike path right behind the hotel along the Hudson River, and you can reach Central Park or the Empire State Building by bike in no time. There are plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. The room was surprisingly spacious, and we were upgraded to the 12th floor with an amazing city view at no extra charge. I can highly recommend this hotel. If we visit New York again, we’ll definitely stay here.

Very good hotel! The location is excellent — right at Times Square, just a few blocks from Central Park, and within walking distance to the Empire State Building, Summit One, and Rockefeller Center. The breakfast was very good, with a nice buffet. The staff was very kind and helpful . The elevators can take a bit longer at times, but that’s expected in such tall buildings. The room is not big, but that’s normal for New York. Overall, a great stay and perfect location for exploring the city!

Check if you can book in advance.

Check if you can book in advance. The best thing we found was booking a time slot early in the day (at Rockefella and 9/11 Memorial) and returning later in the day after experiencing places where you didn't have to queue (Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge). This meant we didn't waste half our day queueing for an attraction (queues for Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building were horrendous and did not offer the option to book a time).
