The place by the river with all the horses, llamas, a donkey, ducks, chicken, cats and friendly dogs that accompanied us in the horse expedition at the night camping deep into desert.The room with the view of the horses. You can really feel the authentic experience of living at the farm, meet the locals and the landlords with rich lovely personalities and stories to share, connect with the nature and dissapear into the silence of the desert. They also have two guitars and a fireplace in the living room where you have breakfast, many good books and atributes, decorations of local flora and fauna, history, and also the kitchen. Just a 20 minute walk from the town centre, Planeta Atacama Lodge offers accommodation in the desert of San Pedro de Atacama. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. Franklin and his wife Carla run an amazing B&B, a little outside the city which makes it a very good spot for star gazing. Since we came by ourselves with a rented car, Franklin gave us very good tips of where to go, suggesting routes, helping us with purchasing tickets for the places we wanted to go and giving us restaurant recommendations. Breakfast is generous and personalized and even when we needed to leave very early one day, they made an effort to leave a snack for us to go.

Located 1.3 km from San Pedro de Atacama, Atacama Loft&Glamp is an innovative complex. WiFi is free and a daily breakfast is included. Loved being on the outskirts of town with a great view ( we did have a hired car). Loved the layout of the camp, enough kitchen space, plenty of showers & toilets. Divine swimming pool. Comfortable tent & beds. Staff were very friendly.

We truly loved staying outside of the town, which seemed to be hustling and bustling and dusty always. But here you had the treat of clear, dark skies and peace and tranquility. The cabañas themselves were super cute, simple, all you need. And the family was the kindest!! So so sweet, and ready to help with any question you may have. We loved our stay here.

Situated 7 km south of San Pedro de Atacama, Casita La Brea offers two types of accommodations, a two bedroom house, and a private apartment. Free private parking is available on site. Casita La Brea was the perfect place for us to stay during our visit to San Pedro de Atacama. Raphael and Ian were fabulous hosts. We were not in the area for very long, so our days were packed with activities. Ian had all kinds of suggestions and tips for things to do, as well as what not to do or be aware of, which was super helpful. I would think if you arrived with nothing on your schedule, Ian would have you seeing the best the area has to offer in no time. It was amazing to walk outside each night and feel like we were among the stars. The Casita was clean, inviting and had everything we needed for our stay, and then some! I only wish we had had more time to relax and take in the magnificent views while sipping our morning coffee as the view was spectacular. Highly Recommend Casita La Brea for your stay in San Pedro
