This accommodation provided breakfast AND dinner - dinner! - so it was truly a unique gem. The food was fantastic - dinner was a choice between curry rice and bamboo steam rice (which I opted for - it was so delicious and healthy). Breakfast was a selection of fruits, bread, jams, cereal, yogurt. Perfect for fueling for the day ahead. Location was also very close to the trailhead. It was a shared space, and I appreciated that they had a lights-out timing which allowed everyone to rest.

Taraichitei es un alojamiento con jardín que se encuentra en Takashima, a 28 km de Santuario Kehi Jingu, a 34 km de Playa de Omimaiko y a 40 km de Estación de tren de Obama. It is an old style house, so as long as you aren't expecting Western/modern comforts, it's fantastic! My daughter called it the Totoro house. You will sleep on Japanese futons that you lay out on the tatami mats - if you've never slept on a futon it might feel uncomfortable/hard compared to Western beds. You will eat sitting on the tatami mats, but there are a couple of small Western chairs if sitting on the floor is difficut. The bathroom is Japanese style with the toilet in one section, the sink/vanity in a second section and the shower with separate furo (deep bathtub for soaking after washing in the shower) in the third section. It was not the most modern but all clean and more spacious than the Western hotel bathrooms we had other parts of Japan! There is a TV, wifi worked great and a bluetooth speaker to play music. There aren't a lot of "tourist" attractions nearby but it you want serenity this hits the spot - a few steps away has you walking among farming fields and the house is also close to the forest with a little stream running along side the road making for a peaceful but easy walk up the mountain. The gohan (rice) cooked in the old style stove was the best we ate our entire trip! Wish we had bought some of the local rice. It can get a little smoky when dinner is being cooked but my mild asthma was fine. The host, Hiro, is amazing, super accomodating and friendly, he introduced us to his shiba inu (dog) and his duck, and even though we didn't ask ahead, he prepped for us to make tofu - this experience was an extra fee but totally worth it! During the winter you can also request mochitsuki (pounding rice into mochi) and summer/fall you can make noodles (can't remember if he said soba, ramen or udon). Hiro's English is limited, but he's so engaging, we asked him to eat dinner with us and my daughter loved that...he has such good energy!

Yadori Onsen Iyashinoyu está en Hashimoto y dispone de wifi gratis, salón de uso común, terraza y restaurante. Me encantaron las vistas, el trayecto de llegada y el apartamento, era muy completo y muy acogedor, se dormía muy muy bien !!

Tamayura no Sato está en Kimino y dispone de vistas a la montaña, piscina de temporada al aire libre, jardín, terraza y restaurante. El lodge ofrece wifi y parking privado, ambos gratis. This was a nice place away from the city. They have bbqs where you can grill outside of your cabin. Comfortable cabins close to some cool stuff to see. Friendly staff.

Mountain Home Lodge in Deer Park está en el barrio de Nara Park, en Nara, a 3,3 km de Estación de tren de Nara y a 20 km de Iwafune Shrine. Hay wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. Un apartamento en medio del parque para disfrutar de la naturaleza y los animales, está completamente equipado para cocinar y poder disfrutar de un tiempo como en casa. Perfecto para desconectar y descansar, Nara es un gran descubrimiento y lo que las guías dicen de ir por un día no es verdad, es mejor dormir allí y disfrutar y perderse entre bosques, templos y pequeñas calles con mucho encanto. fuimos por una noche y terminamos quedándonos tres.

I really enjoyed the private access Onsen, available to sign up once a day. Perfect after biking around Kushimoto all day—I rented one of their electric assist bikes which made going up and down the local hills easier. Complete with helmet and cell phone holder. The room was very spacious and comfortable.
