Udawalawe National Park is 16 km from Maika safari lodge. Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport is 50 km away. We did a 5-hour safari with maika and it was an unforgettable experience! thushara knew all the spots and taught us a lot about the animals. We would love to do it again.

The room was just like the pictures, and the surrounding forest and river are magical. We even encountered some monkeys on the property which was a nice surprise. Breakfast was filling and delicious, a combination of traditional Sri Lankan sweets and breakfast foods with fruit. The owner and workers are incredibly courteous, offered some good safari deals, and even showed us some of the cinnamon, curry leaves, and pepper plant which are all on their property. Would 100% recommend to anyone staying in the area! Extremely reasonable price.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Brilliant location, off the main road leading to the park, so it took only 15 mins ti get to safari early in the morning. Top room has trea house feel and it was really cool ti hear the sounds. No funny bugs in the room by the way. The staff were amazing, they organised really good safari guide with geep for us. In the evening one of the guys took my friend to get a takeaway on his own motorbike. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty.

Absolutely loved this place. saji made us feel very welcomed and made sure that we had the best time here. We had an amazing Safari with him. he was very knowledgeable and passionate about the animals. got everything from beginning to end.

Some units include a terrace and/or a balcony with river views. We went for the safari, we stayed in a very rural area surrounded by nature to make the experience even better. On arrival we were offered a cooking class in the evening which was excellent. Sujee and his wife are so lovely and he is so knowledgeable about the safari. The hotel itself is very well built and kept and high quality. We went on a all day safari from around 10am, lunch included, and saw so much on the day, I would highly recommend a longer safari if you can afford it as it’s really worth it.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. An amazing guest house with three rooms, and a large common area, located at the foot of dramatic and lush hill. We managed some very nice birding just sitting in the garden. A truly relaxing setting in nature. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the meals were delicious.

A buffet, Full English/Irish or Asian breakfast can be enjoyed at the property. At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving American, Cajun Creole and Chinese cuisine. Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. The host was this super friendly young guy. The place is very charming. He plugged in router next to our cottage for wifi. Easy communication all around. Cottages were very spacious. Breakfast served anytime we needed = after safari at 11am.

The lodge provides guests with a terrace, mountain views, a seating area, a flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and an oven, and a private bathroom with bidet and free toiletries. A toaster and kettle are also provided. The staff were nice and they were really reactive whenever we needed something. Perfect stay ! Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. I had an absolutely amazing time at Nature Glow Cottage. The family is so lovely. They helped me organize the safari tour, which was really great! The food there was incredible. And I got to olay badminton and Karam with their son, which was a beautiful experience.
