Located amongst the rocky hills of Gondwana Nature Park, Gondwana Canyon Village offers accommodation within 55 km of Klein Karas.

Each of the stone-and-thatch rooms at Canyon Village are air-conditioned and have beds draped with mosquito nets. They have an en suite bathroom with a shower. Totally amazing place in the middle of nowhere. Wonderful cottages with hot shower and comfy beds set around a large inner area facing the beautiful main restaurant and lounge, bar areas. So well built, around and including the large boulders, they’re even inside the main building. The food was exceptional, dinners and breakfast both. Staff are so friendly and they light fires in many fireplaces in the main building and outdoor firepit. Thanks to Melencia and the Chef and all the staff,all wonderful . It’s a very beautiful place visually and also close to Fish River Canyon. No trouble for 2wd to access from the main road.

The stunning location of individual chalets amongst the rocks in the desert, the friendly, attentive staff, the excellent buffet dinner, the pool on the edge of the desert with enough loungers for everyone, the bean bags under a large rock above the pool, the sunsets over the desert. What an amazing place!

Ai-Ais National Park is 19 km from the lodge. Very nice Hotel and Restaurant close to Fish River Canyon. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Food is very good

Located 8 metres from the canyon edge, the chalets at Fish River Lodge include a terrace, large windows and dry stone walls. They have a private bathroom with free toiletries. Beds can be placed outdoors for sleeping al fresco. The view is just great. Each house has a direct view of the canyon. Very picturesque setting, spacious rooms and delicious dinner options. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bike tour with Filipp was super fun

Kalahari Game Lodge is located on the C15, just 20km from the Mata Mata Border post between Namibia and South Africa. The lodge offers an outdoor pool and on site restaurant.

Very interesting historical place (old railway station converted to hotel). Nice location- not too far from quiver tree forest. Good for sleepover before continuing to Luderitz or Fish river canyon. There is a fireplace in the dining area, so it was nice and warm. Very nice dinner and breakfest.

Felix Unite Provenance Camp situated in Noordoewer overlooks the great Orange River. It features a restaurant and WiFi is available in the business centre.

Each thatched room is modern and decorated in fresh shades of green. It comes with air conditioning, a fan, tea-and-coffee-making facilities and a minibar. The private bathroom has a shower. Great location overlooking the river with a lot of things going on if you wanted to get involved. The area is fantastic with lovely gardens, large pool, good restaurant. Really enjoyed our time at the camp where we found everyone friendly and helpful
