The shuttle service to Abel Tasman made a day tramping in the park seamless. We enjoyed the accommodations so much we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay by one day. Pōhara is an excellent location for visiting the Golden Bay and I can’t recommend the Bay Lodge highly enough.

The light is great and just adds to the calm atmosphere. The Owners are very nice. I got a free room-upgrade which was greatly appriciated! I had a great time there and would say it was the best place I have stayed in!
