El Meremeta Lodge está situado en Utende, a menos de 15 minutos en bicicleta del Mafia Island Diving, y ofrece bicicletas de uso gratuito y jardín. Hay conexión WiFi gratuita. We had an incredible stay at this lodge, and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing owner. He is truly one of the kindest and most helpful hosts we’ve ever met. When the airline failed to deliver our bags, he personally took charge—calling every day, staying in touch with the airline, and doing everything he could to make sure we got our luggage back. We felt so supported and cared for. He also organized all of our activities, and they were fantastic: turtle hatching, a trip to the mange sandbank with a beach BBQ and snorkeling, a visit to the north of the island, Chole Island snorkling trips and whale shark watching. Everything was smooth, well-planned, and stress-free thanks to him. The lodge isn’t right on the beach, but the owner provides bikes for free, and with them it’s a quick and easy ride to the shore. The rooms are comfortable and air-conditioned! Dinner at the lodge is optional each day, and it’s a full three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) for just $15. The portions are generous and the food was consistently delicious. Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming, relaxed, and safe. We truly felt at home here and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

I just came back from a week in Kita Kiblu and I wish I could have stayed longer! Everyone at Kita Kiblu is so kind, welcoming and fun; when my travel plans changed last minute I was welcomed back as a friend and I very much hope to visit again soon. As a solo traveller, it was very easy to socialize with guests due to the friendly vibes, lovely bar with views of the sunset and the communal dining. The food at lunch and dinner was excellent and incredibly good value - we had a three course dinner including fresh fish every day and vegetarian guests are well catered-for. My room was very cute and the outdoor shower is lovely. The whale shark encounters were very well-run and Luka, the whale shark interns and the boat crew ensured we had a good experience. The manager Betty works so hard to look after everyone and creates a very special atmosphere on Mafia Island. Eva and the reception staff were super friendly and really helpful!
