The staff was wonderful. From the check-in experience to the restaurant, everyone was really helpful. The food (breakfast and dinner) was great. We loved the game drive on the property.

Located on a private concession within the malaria free Addo Elephant National Park, River Bend Lodge offers luxury accommodation, spa facilities and private game drives. Free WiFi is available. The grounds were really beautiful with cottages surrounding artfully landscaped grounds that were filled with birdsong. The chef was truly excellent and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Our park ranger, Paul MacKenzie, was outstanding. He knew the wildlife really well and had many tales from his interesting life. Rafa, one of the elephants blessed us with his presence at the gate on the day of our game drive and were fortunate to spend a lot of time with one of the lions. The Park concession was very good because it gave us long views. In contrast, during our solo drive from the bottom of Addo to the top, there was large bush obscuring views. I found the staff at River Bend to be really friendly and enjoyed my many conversations with them, particularly time spent talking to Jenna. I also enjoyed talking to Gladys, who worked in the kitchen. She and I share an interest in sewing with Shweshwe. We highly recommend River Bend. It is truly a 5 star experience.

Offering panoramic views of the Zuurberg Mountain Range, Camp Figtree by The Oyster Collection features a variety of game drives, safaris and game walks. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! We chose the tent accommodation and it was an amazing experience, living in the middle of the forest on a mountain, yet in a very comfortable and beautifully arranged tent. The room was decorated with great attention to detail, and every evening the staff brought us hot water bottles for the bed, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hotel's restaurant is excellent, both the food and the service were outstanding. We truly enjoyed every moment of our stay and would definitely recommend this place!

Just 12 km from the Addo Elephant Park, these African style huts have luxurious interiors and a shared swimming pool. Beautiful gardens with a lovely pool area. The bed was very comfy and breakfast delicious.

Overlooking a valley, this safari-themed guest house offers 4-star accommodation in the Eastern Cape Province. Relaxation options include a seasonal outdoor pool. Higly recommended! We are a family of 4: parents in their fifties and children reaching 30. We spent two nights here and had a great time. It's a family business with an authentic wildlife atmosphere. After arrival in the afternoon the owner took us with 5 other guest for a safari on his own private game reserve. We spotted the giraffes in no time and stood very close. He gave interesting information on wildlife, his land and the giraffes in paticular. Dinner in the lodge, honest and tasteful, one choice. Comfortable, clean and cosy rooms. Real countryside setting. Early breakfast and off to Addo. Should have booked the Addo-safari with the owner Kerneel, but we had a good day by ourselves. Another great dinner and good rest. We left after breakfast with a great experience and will definitely recommend this to friends.

Situated on a secluded eco-reserve, Hitgeheim Country Lodge is an owner-managed lodge offering daily open safari vehicle drives into the Addo Elephant National Park where guests may experience viewing... The hotel was very nice, we had a huge room with a private pool. It was stunning! The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. Would definitely come back.
