Just 2.5 hours away from Cape Town, Inverdoorn Game Reserve Lodge is set on 10000 hectares of land within the Klein Karoo. This reserve is home to the Big 5 and a cheetah conservation centre. These were top things I noticed in poor reviews: Food: Every meal was a buffet. I found the food to be tasty, healthy and with plenty of options. Game Drives: my favorite review "this isn't the serengeti"...correct, the map will tell you that!! while it's not a true wilderness it is also NOT a zoo, you are truly gonna go searching out animals! And you'll see them so close the wildlife will BLOW YOUR MIND! Staff: kind, always willing to help; some friendlier than others but that's how it works with humans Accommodations: totally comfortable and clean; if you're able to upgrade to Deluxe it is worth it for space and privacy

Banhoek Lodge ligt langs de schilderachtige Helshoogte-pas, met tal van wijnboerderijen. Vanuit deze lodge kijkt u uit op de wijngaarden en de bergen. We loved our stay at the Banhoek Lodge. The staff is lovely and the lodge is set up in the middle of vineyards. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms have a beautiful view. It's a nice location to explore winelands in Stellenbosch & Franschoek.

Eikendal Lodge ligt tussen de wijngaarden aan de voet van de Helderberg, in de buurt van Stellenbosch. Het beschikt over weelderige tuinen en een zwembad. It was wonderful, Fiona had been so welcoming, showed me everything. The room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. I loved lying by the pool! Later on I enjoyed a cream cheese wine pairing and a red wine tasting! After that my bed was calling very loudly and I had a very good night sleep in an extraordinary comfy bed. Next morning I woke up with a stunning view of the mountains. Breakfast was perfect, everything there and nicely arranged, always attended to by Fiona.It was just wonderful. I’m definitely coming back!

Ribbokskloof Cottages and Campsite ligt in Koue Bokkeveld, op 49 km van Ceres Golf Club en 49 km van Ceres Zipline Adventures. We arrived relatively late, but the owner came to us to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Later, after dark, she even provided us with more coffee and made sure the fire was burning.
