Located in Germiston, 17 km from Johannesburg Stadium and 19 km from Observatory Golf Club, Ikamu's lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, a garden with an outdoor swimming pool, and access to a fitness room. I stayed at Ikamu's Lodge with my husband and daughter for a week, we came to Johannesburg for a wedding, the place is actually better than the photos. The owner Daivd is very helpful and friendly, the place is very clean, he has a whole team of staff to look after the place. We took lots of good photos of the African decor, while we are actually in the city. There are shops and restaurants just around the corner, free parking is available and the electric gate is very convenient to get in and out of the place. The electric blanket and log fire were lovely (we went in the winter, cold at night). We will definitely stay there again next time we go to Johannesburg.

They really made my birthday extra special so I really appreciate their efforts . The kitchen facilities had everything we needed & the chalet was very clean . A big 10/10 from me. The jacuzzi & braai area enabled us to bond nicely cos there is enough privacy for each chalet

The lodge offers an outdoor pool and guests can also relax in the garden. Guided games drives or self-drives within the reserve can also be done at an additional cost. What an amazing property. Communication with the owners was fantastic right from booking. The lodge was well located and easy to find, signposted clearly from every approach road. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely drink and a hot towel whilst we filled out some paperwork, and then we're promptly showed to our lodge. The property was immaculate, with a heart in petals on the bed, and other beautiful little touches for our arrival. The view from the decked area is simply stunning, and we had some incredible wildlife sightings from here alone; Giraffe, Zebra, Spotted Hyena, Warthog, Impala, Hartebeest etc! Arlington Brewery, and "The Slide" are both nearby, giving great options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks if you don't want to go to the effort yourself. We will most definitely be back!

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, parking available on site, AC and heating worked as it should, Host was more than happy to cater for dietary requirements for breakfast, all the staff are friendly, excellent value for money, Ample sockets, powerful showers - nice hot water

Melissa & Owen (and the other staff) could not do enough for us. Melissa prides herself on providing mouth watering meals that are both inventive and enjoyable. Owen does a fabulous game drive early evening which is informative and enjoyable. He’s also a pretty good bar man! The lodges were comfortable, clean, with super comfy pillows & mattress. The bathroom was a dream with all amenities, including a great bath & a bonus outside shower. Tea, coffee & homemade biscuits provided were a delight in a morning & after the game drive. We will definitely be returning in the not too distant future.
