The most beautiful and hospitable hotel ived visited globally , food excellent, staff superb , rooms clean . Food again I cannot rate highly enough. This hotel screams old English etiquette with a modern touch . Really one of the best hotels and I highly recommend. We are used to luxury in Dubai and this hotels service and the hotel its self didn’t disappoint!

We loved this property and wished we stayed 3 nights. It is a lovely boutique hotel outside of Nuwara Eliya, with amazing views, refreshing pool to swim in and a games room where you can play pool at night. Lovely staff also.

Beautiful peaceful location out of town, beside the highest village in Sri Lanka. Surrounded by tea plantations and other small cultivations, and inside the grounds is a perfectly tended garden and very professional welcome from the small team. Short walks available to a viewpoint amongst the tea. Room and bathroom both spacious and as in the photos. Dinner and breakfast both delicious. The banana bread in particular! No problem to order us a taxi to go to the station the next morning too. More expensive than the average accommodation, but certainly value for money compared to other similar high-end “boutique” accommodations in Sri Lanka (which can start at $900 per night - and I’m not sure the extra butler would be worth the difference!)

A beautiful place with stunning views! Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming. We visited with our baby, and the staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The restaurant and food were excellent. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 2 nights and loved every second of it. The apartment complex is only a couple hundred meters away from the main road, and the town is at a walking distance, so everything you need from restaurants to supermarkets is just a few minutes away. The apartment came with a dedicated parking lot that's right next to the elevator. Our apartment was on the 3rd floor, so we had a great view of the town and the distant mountains from the balcony. The apartment had pretty much everything we needed, a kitchen with a well equipped pantry, a living room with a TV, 2 bedrooms each having a bed with a spring mattress (the main bed was really really comfy), 2 clean washrooms with hot water (1 common, and 1 attached to the main bedroom). We just had to bring the groceries and cook. Amal, the caretaker, is really pleasant and helpful, so everything from check-in to check-out was really smooth. Our entire stay was relaxing, and we enjoyed so much convenience, so we would recommend this apartment to everyone.

It was a perfect stay. Everything was as described and displayed. The host was very friendly and warm and continuously kept in touch to ensure our stay went smoothly. He also provided us with an early check-in since we came to Nuwara Eliya early. He provided clear instructions on how to obtain the keys, responded promptly, and also checked-up on us even during the stay to make sure we were comfortable. Talking about the apartment, everything was of high quality. The entire apartment was very clean and spotless, it had all the tools you would require for a comfortable stay, including all the kitchen appliances and also plenty of storage areas and towels as well. The bedrooms were excellent with comfy beds, blackout curtains and pleasant lighting. The bathrooms were good too, everything was very functional with high quality fittings and hot water. Everything was modern and worked very well. One bedroom had a balcony, and since the apartment was on the 4th floor, it provided us with a lovely view (Check the photo I attached). The location was also excellent and not difficult at all to get to. It was very close to nearby shops and supermarkets and also the Gregory Lake and the race course. There was private parking at the basement with proper security for us to park our car without worry. Overall, it was a seamless and comfortable stay, and I would definitely consider staying here next time I am in Nuwara Eliya.

From the luxurious interior to the breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains, dam and tea plantations, our experience here was wonderful and a much needed getaway in an extremely calm and serene place. We were hosted by the very warm and cheerful Akila and served delicious meals prepared by the talented in-house chef.

    Nice property in the high mountains of Sri Lanka with beautiful vistas on the agricultural landscape and mountains. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is literally running for you. The chef is serving a delicious diner. Pool table room with fantastic view. They try to position themselves on a luxury boutique level Realize you are on 2000mtr altitude so it is totally different from the rest of Sri Lanka. The sauna is gr8 on windy rainy days and the pool then serves to cool down.

    We stayed at this hotel for just two nights. As our stay was during low season, we (4 adults + 1 child) had the hotel to ourselves. The location of the hotel, although a little distance from the town centre, was superb. The staff (especially, Budhika, the Duty Manager) were exceptionally friendly and helpful - nothing was too much. The hotel was clean and the rooms were very comfortable. The food was of a high standard and, again, the Duty Chef was more than happy to meet our requests. We would highly recommend this 7 room boutique hotel.

    La Grande Villa is a must to do if you are coming at NUWARA ELIYA. You can feel the luxury England atmosphere everywhere. The room is fabulous, the food is delicious and all the staff was so caring, so helpful and so nice. You can count on the receptionist Farhan if you need anything, count on the chef if you want to eat Sri Lankan, Indian or English food and count on the staff to makes you feel like a VIP guest. Thanks to all of you for this unforgettable stay. I warmly recommend that place.
