The superb hospitality from the front desk, breakfast and pool bar staff. The comfort and space of the room. The location smack dab in downtown Funchal. The impreccable service offered when booking restaurants or needing instructions on routes and calling cabs on my behalf. Perfect location in the centre of Funchal, but very quiet surroundings. Wonderful breakfast with plenty of fresh food, also made on request. A lot of local fresh fruits. Extremely helpful personnel. Goncalo recommended us several places to eat and enjoy Funchal - all of them were just great for us. Well equipped spa. We also had a massage in the hotel. Good bar on the ground floor. We did not have time to enjoy the pool bar on the roof. We made a reservation for 2 nights, but finally we have stayed 7 nights. Unforgettable stay.

beautiful property near the airport, the rooms in the new wing have a splendid view on the bay. well furnished (maybe I could have needed some shoe cleaning gear). the staff is excellent (where in the world are you taken after registration to your room? and the luggage already there...) very convenient breakfast, shuttle at any time to the airport. i could check in earlier and was offered the last day to use the room free until 5pm-this is however only possible if there are free rooms. good experience of portuguese hospitality.

Cezario met us to hand over the keys even though our flight wasnt in til nearly 1am so great service provided Cezario was a great host he even offered to take us shopping as we didnt have a car .. and arranged with a friend to take us on a tour of the island who was also very helpful . Pictures of the property are very accurate and great space inside and out for families. Lovely views from the balconies . Very quiet at night ..Also accommodated us with a late check out which we really appreciated .

Joao is a great guy and very welcoming host. Apartment is on the best possible location in Funchal. Apartment is on two sides, having a breeze if needed - super useful on hot days.
