Van der Valk Hotel Gent is a stone's throw from the city centre, close to both the E17 and E40 motorways. I loved the overall look and feel. It is modern, clean, and welcoming, with a brilliant outdoor bar/seating area for a nice drink after a long day of driving. I located quickly just off the main roads. Check-in was smooth, and having stayed in many hotels, I think it's been one of the more memorable hotels to use again. It also has a children's play area just outside reception, which my kids really enjoyed; it also had live chickens!

Very nicely decorated and the owners were very helpful, immediately attending to some technical issues we had with the room. Breakfast has everything you need and we are dog lovers so didn’t mind the three four-legged friends at all.

3 Room Luxury Design Apartment with Airconditioning, Close to Gent St-Pieters Station, que cuenta con vistas a la ciudad, ofrece alojamiento con terraza y balcón a unos 4 min a pie de Estación... Our family of 6 stayed four days in the apartment for the Christmas Holiday and it was PERFECT for us. The apartment was so clean, accommodated all of us with enough bedding, towels and kitchen was well stocked. We made breakfast each morning. We loved having an expresso to wake up to. There is a market not too far to buy goods. Oli, the host, communicated from the day I booked which was early knowing it was the holiday. He addressed any questions. We enjoyed the short walk from the train station to make small train trips to other Belgium cities. However our favorite visit was going into the town of Gent and enjoying the Christmas Market and city festivities. We would definitely return and stay here again in the future.

We were glad to return to the tranquillity each evening. Hosts are very attentive but never intrusive. Felt when we left that we had arrived as guests and left as friends
