Because we were only traveling by trains, the host, Mike, offered to collect us and take us back to the train station. Our hostess, Chisato is very friendly and helpful. A beautiful location with a garden with direct access to the walking path along the Mosel River.

Lovely quirky room with beams and a little balcony overlooking a small private courtyard for residents. Sadly it rained so could not sit outside. We ate in the restaurant after having to go elsewhere for a beer. See comment below. The food was typical German fare and the place very popular. It is a wine cellar and the restaurant is full of interesting objects and decor reflecting this. The most impressive thing of all was the breakfast which was eye popping in the massive choice of cold meats, cheese, pickles, breads, jams and so on.
