Cahkal Hotel in Kilpisjärvi provides accommodation with a terrace, a bar and ski-to-door access. With a shared lounge, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. We stayed a night here, to break the long road journey from Levi to Tromso and ended up seeing the Northern lights similar to what is in their profile picture, right from the hotel! The staff were so awesome that they felt like family. The rooms were very comfortable and ours was at the end of the corridor with a big window overlooking a snow clad hill. There is a warm seating area next to the reception, with a real fire place, giving it a great vibe. A lot of activities (as much as you can expect from a 150- person tiny village) on offer around the place, which also is the NW most point of Finland and right next to the borders with Sweden and Norway too. There is a bus change at Kilpisjarvi when going to Tromso or the other way round, and the bus stops right at the hotel. Overall we couldn't find a single negative to list out. Special mention to Niila and Sari - thank you from our hearts. The spruce ice cream dessert at dinner remains the best dessert we have had traveling across EU, in the past two weeks!

The wood-built design hotel was built in 2023, and it offers modern hotel rooms with floor to ceiling views to the nature. Panoramic windows face the majestic Saana landscapes, giving you a perfect view of the northern sky; Kilpisjärvi is one of the best places in whole Europe to see the Aurora Borealis Lovely place, well set up and very cozy. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We could see the northern lights from our bed.

Set in Kilpisjärvi in the Lapland region, Kelo Aurora luxury cabin features a patio and mountain views. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The villa has an outdoor fireplace and a sauna. Beautifully located log cabin with a very tasteful interior. We had lots of fun hiking and going to the lake. We could even see reindeer from the deck of the cabin. The cabin itself is made out of wood that is 300 to 500 years old - a very cool experience. We give it 5 out of 5 stars.
