The location of this property was great. It was close enough to drive to all the places we planned but also felt like we were far enough away to have such a great winter vibe. the main road driving in had several igloo cabins which leds me to believe that its a good location to view auroras, unfortunately we went and had snow and clouds everyday so we did not have a chance to see an. The apartment was clean, had plenty of supplies on hand in the front cabin and tons of room for my family. The entry had plenty of racks, storage and a drying unit to help aid in the transition from outside to inside. our snow gear was always ready and warm for the next outing. The log cabin aesthetic inside and out added such a cozy yet elevated touch to our trip. it was warm, had a fully equipped fire place, and sauna. The tall ceilings in the living space made it feel bigger. they kids loved the loft and nook with window and like looking outside. The kitchen was stocked with all essentials and we loved that the apartment was decorated with a christmas tree during the holidays. Check in was at the local pub which I thought was different, but honestly it was perfect because we were able to grab the keys and some supplies from the local store nearby and head over right at check in.

Entorno espectacular. Exactamente como las fotos. Cabaña acogedora con todo lo necesario, el menaje y otros aspectos estaban en cantidad más que suficiente. Las camas cómodas. La atención de Mika y Johanna de agradecer. Tuvimos un incidente (quizás por las prisas y la emoción de ponernos a tope con la cabaña) y el contacto con ellos fue inmediato, ahora es una anécdota que contar. Al siguiente día, también se pasan por si necesitas algo y está todo ok. La sauna, genial! La cabaña de la barbacoa es algo increíble! Nos lo pasamos pipa cortando leña, preparando el fuego, la cena, las nubes, etc. Mis hijos disfrutaron mucho la experiencia. También es un lujo tener el rio delante, donde además, tienes otra zona de barbacoa al aire libre, o para calentarte. Bosque lleno de setas, bayas, etc. Es un entorno de cuento! Nos hubiésemos quedado más días solo por disfrutar esos momentos.

El Castillo Kelotähti Apartment está en Saariselkä y es un alojamiento independiente con acceso directo a las pistas de esquí. Los remontes de Saariselkä están a solo 1,2 km. The apartment was small, but just big enough for our family of 4 (2 adults, 1 child, 1 baby). It was clean, comfortable, and a good temperature. We paid extra for the linen which wasn't put on the beds, so we had to make the beds which was a bit annoying when we were tired. It also made the stay more expensive when we paid extra for the baby linen and cot. Very handy drying cupboard, and great to have a washing machine, but no clothes detergent, which would have been useful. The directions to the apartment were a bit confusing, the pub on the corner isn't an Irish pub any more. The location was very good for getting the bus to the ski slopes, and taking walks to the grocery store and restaurants.
