The hotel itself was a wonderful retreat, but what truly made our experience special was Josh and his incredible team. From the moment we arrived, they welcomed us with warmth and hospitality that felt truly genuine. The service was outstanding—every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We especially loved chatting with the staff, who made us feel like part of the family, as well as connecting with fellow guests. It created such a friendly and inviting atmosphere that made our stay even more enjoyable.

Very personal atmosphere. People care about this accommodation and this island and it shows in every corner. The whole idea behind it feels honest and well executed. General and personal recommendations for the area were on point. Also the bedding and pyjamas are the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

Palm Tree House Ishigaki - パームツリーハウス石垣 ligt in Ishigaki, op 12 minuten lopen van Strand van Shiraho, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. The couple who run the property are so lovely and thoughtful. Our family of four were very comfortable.

Tsundara Beach Retreat ligt in Ishigaki, op 7,7 km van Uitkijkpunt Tamatorizaki en 28 km van Yaeyama Museum. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, airconditioning, een tuin en een terras. I wish I could give this a 100/10! We had the best time at Tsundara Beach Retreat, it was one of the main highlights of our month long trip to Japan/Ishigaki. The hosts are amazing! So lovely and accommodating, but also informative about the island and activities nearby, there was also a handy book of all attractions. The use of the kayak was great for us and the private beach was absolutely stunning. The gardens are gorgeous and we felt so at ease here. The location is a little remote compared to the main towns, so I’d recommend hiring a car (we did), this was not a negative though, this was one of the things we loved about the property. The breakfast also needs a special mention as it was amazing and different every morning! The days we went diving we also had it dropped off especially early for us which was great. Thank you thank you thank you! We wish we could’ve stayed for weeks longer. A must stay on Ishigaki island, we will be staying here if we ever come back.

Personeel was zeer vriendelijk en hoffelijk. Kamer was net en ordelijk. Zwembad ook zeer goed. Toppersoneel: gagan, hane, zhin and lama. Ook zeer veel leuke activiteiten in de buurt
