The area is popular for skiing, and ski equipment hire is available at this 5-star hotel. This place was incredible!! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. The shuttle service was very helpful for coming and going from the train station and to various activities. The onsen was clean and relaxing. There was laundry available for use. Games outdoors and indoors. Just amazing.

The breakfast was excellent every day and a real highlight of our stay. The location is perfect for exploring the nearby mountains, the many hot springs, and the rural areas of Japan in general. Our son loved the playroom, and the staff was very family-friendly. There are also plenty of parking spaces, which was very convenient. We had a perfect stay overall and gladly give 5 stars!

Boasting open-air hot spring baths, a heated indoor pool and beautiful Japanese gardens, Senjukaku offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation that has a historic charm. Jigokudani Snow Monkey Park is a 15-minute drive away. The most beautiful stay - the room was stunning, the hotel grounds are gorgeous (especially in autumn!) and they catered to our dietary requirements with a delicious vegetarian breakfast. The private onsen was such a treat too. The hotel is just a short walk to the gorgeous snow monkeys too which was so much fun. The staff are truly so welcoming. Make sure you buy a delicious, big apple from the sweet man selling fruit in the lobby some mornings!!!!!

The large windows at the on-site restaurant & bar allow guests to relax and enjoy the stunning panoramas of the Happo One Mountain by day and night, while listening to live music and warming up with Gluhwein mulled wine. Hotel was nicely located and not too far from the gondola and walking distance to the chair lifts which eventually opened
