The interior was revamped, we enjoy the peaceful and friendly service from the staffs. Hotel’s location is excellent, next to the entrance of the Nara Park. They also offer a traditional Japanese Mocha Tea, in a tea room as a welcome drink, we love it very much. You can request in room massage service, there are 40mins / 60mins two options. The price is reasonable.

Our twin room had own bathroom with a lovely wooden tub, sitting room and bedroom. Looked onto rear garden . Very welcoming and informative staff who were helpful and proud of their role in Nara. Easy location from train station and to walk to the sights around the town. Loved the Japanese evening dinner paired with local Sake’s and the traditional breakfast, some of the best food I’ve tasted this week . Minibar drinks in room well appreciated . Beds and pillows very comfortable. Staying overnight was lovely to see the town after the crowds have left in the evening.

Each guest room has a Japanese-style decor and offer panoramic forest views, traditional tatami (woven-straw) floors, and shoji paper screens. The food experience was very unique, the team was very helpful to accommodate my requests and did their best to make sure my stay was smooth!

Welcoming and friendly staff. Super clean, wonderful surroundings, so many beautiful touches. Fresh flowers! .The Onsen was great. Breakfast was magnificent. Brilliant location in Nara. Our room was very comfortable and spacious, super clean. Nice toiletries. We wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much to everyone at Ryokan Asukasou.

Beautiful view with private onsen, our privacy is well respected. We had our own dinning room for dinner and breakfast with a view, dedicated waiter for service. Everything of our stay was catered. Highly recommend this Ryokan.

Everything was clean and comfortable from the sofa to the bedding, to the bath area and towels. Located in quaint Murou, Murou-ji temple is only a few minutes walk away. It is also within walking distance of Murou Art Forest. Both are must-sees. Parking is available but requires a reservation so be sure to contact the proprietor. After each day of sightseeing around the area, I looked forward to returning to my room and enjoying the cleanliness and comfort. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable stay away from the city, look no further!
