Voelden ons zeer welkom. Goede bedden en een fijne douche. Prima ontbijt. Goede uitvalsbasis om Matsuyama te bekijken. De Onsen is prachtig met mooi uitzicht!

NIPPONIA HOTEL Ozu Castle Town is gelegen in Ōzu, op 3 minuten lopen van Garyu Sanso Villa en heeft een gedeelde lounge, een restaurant en uitzicht op de tuin. This was well worth the extra money vs the usual hotels you can stay in in japan. The hotel comprises a collection of old town houses that have gardens and courtyards and are in the old town of Ozu . We had dinner and breakfast included. The dinner was a 7 course meal and we had paired sake. It was outstanding, the chef did a fantastic job with all courses. Probably one of the best meals we have ever had. The room was actually a two story house with a garden and was spectacular. Finally the staff were excellent and added to what was already a very special hotel.

This place is magnificent, beautifully located in the forest, right next to a river and a waterfall. The staff were superb, friendly and professional. We had a private onsen in our room, which was the best we’ve ever had - open air with a stunning forest view. The dinner was amazing and delicious. The ryokan also had a marshmallow BBQ station!
