The place is filled with love and tranquility. From the moment I checked in, I noticed the warmth of Claudia and Rudi to make sure we were happy. The firepit, the BBQ, and the wine for dinner were just amazing. On top of that, Tupac the llama-dog was so fun. He surely contributes to making everyone happy by being such as lovely pet. I highly recommend the Spirit of the River lodge.
My stay at Starlodge was one of the most magnificent and memorable experiences. The food was amazing, adding a delightful touch to the exceptional stay. Our host Bryan provided excellent hospitality, making our stay truly exceptional. His warm and attentive service added a personal touch, ensuring we felt welcome and well cared for throughout our visit. Bryan's dedication greatly contributed to the overall positive experience.
Lovely hotel + gardens, just 5 mins walk from the train station in Ollantaytambo - a quiet oasis! We added this hotel to our itinerary after coming off the Expedition Train from Machu Picchu - excellent choice. A peaceful, rest from the trek. Lovely grounds to walk in. Large room with good facilities +wi-fi. Good staff. Good food in restaurant. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed your sdue to the clean hotel with a comfortable big bed, tasty breakfast options, and excellent value for money. The location near the main square and the friendly, welcoming staff also contributed to our positive experience.
The location is just breathtaking. Accommodations are comfortable, especially the beds but at the same time is nice the feeling of living in a tent (although a very comfy one!). All the food is locally sourced and service is impeccable. Overall I deeply appreciated the stress on sustainability and the fact that they employ local people to contribute to the local economy.
*The beauty of El Balcón's simplicity and originality was enhanced by the friendly, professional staff. *Sitting on the bench outside our bedroom in the garden, we enjoyed the flowers, stones, birds and a glimpse (or more from our daughter's balcony room) of the mountains. *El Balcón supports the Kuska School, a sustainable farm school in nearby Ollantaytambo by selling a picture book which enabled us to contribute in a more specific way than we otherwise did on our journey as travellers.
