Motels in Truckee

Everything about this place is exceptional - the location is the star of the show with the motel being set directly on the lake. Our room was just steps away from the heated pool, hot tub, deck with fire pit and grill overlooking the lake and the private beach. To be able to eat breakfast on the deck, go for a morning swim in the lake then warm up in the hot tub was bliss. Equally, eating dinner on the deck then watching the sun set sat warm around the fire pit was the perfect way to end the day. The rooms were large and spotless, thoughtful touches like good quality coffee and hot chocolate were provided, all the staff from the front desk to the housekeeping to the pool cleaner were warm and helpful, and the other guests were friendly and considerate. The location really can’t be beaten - we’ve stayed all over the world in places ranging from backpacker to luxury and to get those facilities in that kind of location at that price point is unheard of. Absolutely wonderful in every way, we will certainly be back (and will stay for longer next time)!

Great place, walking distance to the lake, very clean and well equipped.

Great staff, very friendly, helpful and flexible when we asked for an extra night. The location is lovely, just a 3 minutes walk to the lake. Half the price of everything else nearby but great quality nevertheless, would come back!
