We were not able to reach the apartment as the road nb 1 was broken due to glacier flooding. road was cut for 3 days, something to keep in mind when traveling even if extremely unusual (1100km round trip to reach airport) BUT we give a 10 rating as the owners kindly refund us for the night which covers the costs of another place on the road

+ Easy to find + Free parking in front of the house + You get a discount in a few restaurants in town when living here. I can fecomment the black crust pizza place. + Clean rooms and bathrooms + Check in and check out worked fine + Quiet place + Kitchen was clean. + Each bed had a plug

I was a bit sceptical when I found quite a few critical reviews. In the end, I booked a bed in the biggest dorm with 8 beds, of which only 2 were used that night. + The location is pretty good. + The bed was decent. It was not a very comfortable one but it was okay for the night + Bathrooms were clean + Kitchen was clean + Place was very quiet + Shades in bedroom worked well with the sun always being up in August + Free parking in front of the house + Price (40€ for one night) was okay for Iceland

The only positive things about our stay were free parking and the location.

It was clean and comfortable. Access with a number pad was easy. Not far to walk anywhere in town. Lots of free parking.

Even though we checked in late, they wrote detailed information about the check-in in advance and were helpful. The breakfast included local products and was very good. Its location is very close to the glacier area. It has its own free parking spaces. You can get unlimited tea and coffee from the common area.

Facilities all as we wanted, full kitchen equipment, decent shower, comfortable bed. Checkin all done remotely and all worked well. The property is some distance from shops (we were aware of this and you just need to bring supplies with you) but there is a good new cafe 5 minute drive away.

As indicated, the place is 7km from the ring road on a gravel road. It looks like a motel with a row of rooms/apartments. The whole place is very clean and obviously very new. We appreciated the coffee machine and capsules. Bathroom is very comfy.

Good coffee, tea, and hot chocolate always available in the breakfast area. The small complimentary breakfast (cereal and yogurt) was a really nice touch. Great location, quiet, easy parking, supermarket a 2 minute walk away. Great en suite bathroom.

A pleasant hotel in a good location to stay for a night during our touring trip. Modern, clean and comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff and a decent selection of food for breakfast. We enjoyed it. Free parking in the car park(which was full when we arrived), and on the road at the front. An easy walk to see the river and the interestingly renovated town centre. We ate at nearby Tryggvaskali Restaurant on the evening. It was superb!
