A lovely, simply decorated and furnished room with everything I needed, very much in keeping with the historic hotel building and "Old-Town" Fredrikstad location. Very handy for wandering round the old town and for the free ferry to Isegran and the newer town. Lovely patio on the property. Good breakfast buffet in another building just around the corner - awesome furnishings in that room! Free parking was a bonus. Friendly, helpful staff : )

Wonderful old building on an historic island. Nice to stay in a piece of history. Comfy beds, good kitchen. I would stay here again, for sure. I love the history of Fredrikstad and Widdingstua, the Magasinet's family studio, on Isegran Island is part of that. Free parking was a huge plus! And the short walk to the free ferry along the river was perfect to get us to Gamlebyen (Old Town) several times a day.
