Amazing hot spring and massage chairs, and the nebuta art was really nice. We only stayed for one night while passing through, but I would gladly stay here again!

The hotel is located within the Towada-Hachimantai National Park and just down the road from the Hakkoda ropeway if you're hoping to see the famous snow monsters. Although in a remote location, the drive up was one of the most picturesque snowy landscapes we're experienced in Japan. The hotel is well insulated, incredibly clean with amazingly plush beds and the staff were incredibly friendly too. We did the half board which was well worth it- ended up with a 9 course dinner and then a breakfast buffet. The main highlight though of course was the outdoor onsen looking onto the snowy trees whilst bathing in the onsen water. The hotel is small-medium size place so you're more than likely to have the onsen to yourself, which is much nicer than some of the bigger complexes or if you're looking for more of a meditative onsen experience. Finally, this place even has it's own little shrine next to the hotel to admire.

All of it. I can relax and have many activities in the hotel. It is near the JR Aomori and i can go to Akita without changing the train. Breakfast is also good and has a lot of variety. The staff is very nice, polite and friendly, especially the staff at the onsen area. She helped me to get a towel when i forgot to bring one. The receptionist is also helpful. He helps to call the taxi and even makes sure that we ride the right one. The location is also good, has a lot of restaurants and shopping centres. The onsen clean and have outdoor onsen.

Good size rooms, nice onsen, right by chair lift / rope way and spaces to hang out with a group. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! Staff were friendly and offered to drive us to another ski field when the ropeway was closed.

Absolutely gorgeous. I love the garden, even in its winter state, and the outdoor bath and sauna was just amazing with the flurries of snow around. The staff were amazing, and the driver took us to the aquarium and back on our last morning before we took the train back to Aomori. The history is very special, and the food was also spectacular - it was so lovely to experience this Japanese cooking.
