Superb quality of two different type of onsen, especially open-air bath and kindness of ryokan hosts were great pleasure during the stay.

Completely recommend this place. Ok, it could use a remodel yes, but for the location and the price you get an amazing delicious dinner, access to an indoor/outdoor Onsen with a beautiful view and kind staff. They even fixed us a hiking breakfast of plum rice balls, bottled tea and a dessert instead of the breakfast buffet. We were able hit the trail early (right from the hotel) and summit Tocachidake. We hope to come back in the winter for skiing.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and the location is perfect for backcountry skiing in the winter. The onsen is wonderful.

Breakfast was a good mix of Japanese and Western foods, and included both coffee and tea. The onsen with rust-colored waters are well worth using, especially the outdoor baths. This is the highest elevation ryokan and onsen in Hokkaido, so it's a unique experience. The dinner also exceeded our expectations.

View of Mt. Tokachi from our Japanese styled room. Family friendly Ryokan. The tradition styled wooden onsen with the open aired option had a great view of the mountains! They provided Yukata and slippers in child sizes which was great! Felt nostalgic, as some of the furniture like the safe was from the 80s-90s.
