A wonderful choice to visit Kyoto. Loved the onsen, a rich western and japanese breakfast. We really liked the Kaiseki dinner included in the half-board.

I had the most wonderful experience staying in this hotel. It really made Kyoto the best city I visited in my trip to Japan. I had my doubts seeing it very popular on tiktok, but I was indeed impressed. It was my first experience going to onsen. I was so nervous with the naked part, but once there I totally relaxed. Don't skip it! You have 5 hot spring pools, with clear water and free ice cream once you leave. Read the instructions, take a shower, put on the pijamas they provide, take your basket and towels, and go enjoy the onsen. The hotel is in japandi style, with tatami floors everywhere, so you take off your shoes at the entrance and you use only your bare feet or socks in all the areas. Was so strange to go at breakfast in pijamas and socks :)), but I loved it. The room was big, clean, with space to put your things. I slept so well on the bed. They serve coffee, tea and matcha latte all day long, and that matcha was so tasty and creamy I miss it every day (it's been 3 months). And the breakfast had a lot of variety but was crowded. You can leave your luggage with them if you arrive early, as early check in is not possible.

We had a great stay at this hotel! The room was spacious and spotless, offering excellent value for money. The location is incredibly convenient, with a train station right next door and Universal Studios just a 15-minute walk. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and convenience.

This family owned ryokan is charming and from the moment I arrived, the owner took incredible care of me. He let me store my bags there (arrived on a train pre-check out) so I could walk around town without dragging my luggage. Upon check in I was shown a cool 2nd story spacious room overlooking the colorful street lined with shops and good eats with a peek a boo view of the mountain. They whisk you to a kimono dressing room where you can pick your own kimono robe, tie and hair accessories (no other lodging offers this) and someone personally dresses you (ensuring you wrap it the right away and fits right). Then, the owner graciously to photograph you (with your own phone) in costume inside the ryokan and outside the town (made for some amazing photos). His mom even indulged me in a tea ceremony! The meal (dinner and breakfast) was brought to your room and delicious (multi course never ending meal- I was stuffed for two days after). If you are a solo female traveler or couple, stay here and no where else. It felt like being welcomed home after traveling straight for a month.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Tocen Goshobo. It was just a few minutes walk away from the bus stops. The onsen bath was atmospheric and the temperature felt just right (not too hot even for inexperienced bathers). The staff was wonderfully welcoming, the room lovely and the futon beds extra comfortable. The Arima onsen village was bigger than we expected, several dinner options (we opted for only breakfast (was superb!) at the Tocen Goshobo).

Located in Hikone, 4.2 km from Hikone Castle, Biwafront Hikone provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Pure class and luxury! Fantastic onsen and view from the balcony! Exceptional customer service! Great size of the room considerably beyond Japanese but even European hotel standards. Free drinks in a super comfortable lounge on the top floor. The 3 stars raring given to this hotel must be a joke, it is absolutely comparable to a 5 stars one.
